Agassi moves to real estate development

By Liza Horan

New York—True to character, Andre Agassi has surprised all by wasting no time in getting to his post-tennis career: Real estate development. The family man has further extended his partnership with wife and co-HEAD endorser Stefanie Graf to form Agassi Graf Development LLC.

Can you picture these two in hard hats? It's not that hard to imagine, actually. Both individuals seem to take great care with their relationships and make deliberate moves. This one joins them with Exclusive Resorts and, interestingly, AOL co-founder Steve Case, who heads the company.

Exclusive Resorts is a luxury destination club, which means members can stay in homes with resort amenities. Everything is first class. Click here to view the press release from Exclusive Resorts.

In addition to providing direction for the company on real estate matters, Agassi and Graf will assist in the design of "Agassi-Graf Tennis and Fitness Centers" and will "enhance the tennis and fitness experiences for Exclusive Resorts members as they travel the world." I think this means that they'll play for pay with other members (or maybe gratis), rather than seeing Agassi lead Spinning classes and Graf holler out moves during step classes...though I can sort of picture that, too!

Very exciting news for people who are potential club members for Exclusive Resorts. Are you one?

Take this quiz to find out:
1. Do you have need for a second home, but don't want to be tied to one location and wish to have resort amenities while traveling?
2. Do you have $225,000 to become an Affiliate Member? If so, you won't mind the initiation fee of $10,500. If that is chump change, consider becoming an Elite Member for $425,000; it carries a one-time fee of $27,500.

If you answered "yes" to both questions, click here to visit the membership page on ExclusiveResorts.com.

If you answered "yes" to question 1: Join the club. No, not that club—I mean, the rest of us would like that, too.

If you answered "no" to question 2: Join the club (same as above).

The excellent news about this announcement is that neither Agassi nor Graf have chosen to burrow themselves away from commerce or the public (in this case, the very exclusive public) eye. Some past champions seemingly have gone into hiding, and are not sure what to do with themselves.

Leave it to these two—who for so long appeared to be polar opposites in style and manner—to act with smarts, grace and without selfconsciousness.
