Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Nicolas Kiefer, John Isner, Mario Ancic and Max Mirnyi (left) were among the players who served gourmet treats—like cheesecake lollipops, ceviche, brisket, and Godiva-covered marshmallows—alongside top chefs like Marcus Samuelsson (Aquavit), Timothy Reardon (Barbounia), and John Shenk (Strip House) at the W hotel for fun (and charity).

Kiefer (right), who studied cooking for two years in school, said he enjoys cooking shrimp, scallops and fish. On the road, though, he usually eats a lot of pasta since there are limited choices. The relaxed and friendly German said enjoyed his role at the event: "I got an upgrade to chef!"

Brad Gilbert (below right), the former coach of Roddick and Andre Agassi and now works for England's Lawn Tennis Association, also could be found serving food. "It's my seventh year," he said. "I've done it every year!"

Baking By Design made a lifesized racquet bag cake covered in fondant. Money raised from ticket sales and a sports memorabilia auction benefited the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
