Jan-Michael and Justin go primetime

By Liza Horan

Did you see Jan-Michael Gambill and hear Justin Gimelstob on TV during primetime last week?

They weren't together, and they weren't at a tournament or talking about pro tennis. Nope—they had stints on reality TV.

Gambill was on a date with Natasha (right) on VH1's "Tough Love," in which a matchmaker runs a sort of boot camp to help young ladies become more successful dating. They seemed enchanted with each other, well, as much as you can with a dinner date that's a set.

Time will tell if he's more successful than Mark Philippoussis about finding love through TV. Remember he did "Age of Love"? [Update: The femme winner of that is out. He's got a new girlfriend. But the big news is that he's close to opening The Philippoussis Tennis Academy in Melbourne, Australia.]

Gimelstob's cameo was restricted to voice only when he called to tell Jill—on the "Game, Set, Feud" episode of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New York City"—that he couldn't make grudge match between her and another couple featured on the show. Did he really have a sore back or has he become camera-shy? Jill ended up bringing in Simon (cast member) to up the grudge factor for the match at CityView Racquet Club in Long Island City, where Gimelstob is a member.
